Some folks at Settlers brought in Krispy Kremes today. I never thought I'd ever set my eyes on such beauty since I left Tokyo but there they were, 2 boxes of heaven on table A1. Naturally my curiousity was piqued so I asked them where they got it from. After that I was just doin' what I do, didn't really spend much time with them beyond teaching them a couple of games like Jurassic Jumble. I really didn't think much about it except that it was cool so it was quite a surprise when a girl from their group came back with a glazed doughnut in a napkin for me. Damn nice of them la... Like they brought it all the way back from Sydney and they gave one to me, and I didn't even treat them extra nice or anything.
Of course after that I had to help her secure a Settlers membership when she asked. I wouldn't mind these folks coming back again and again haha...
A simple gesture and a single Krispy Kreme really made my day.
Compose the composure they say. I've been milling around feelin' overwhelmed but now I've got to get my S in gear. Passarella Death Squad Tshirts and trips to Tokyo don't pay for themselves. Just do it one thing at a time. I believe I can slowly but surely regain my ability to multi-task again. I will find again the satisfaction in doing what I do.
I don't know what's with the rest of the world but at least I'm regaining my ability to deal.
Why? Why hasn't my Settlers of Catan expansion come yet?
Curse of the Golden Flower was worth watchin' I thought. Except that the end was horrible I felt. I wanted Gong Li to cast her a stony Miranda Priestly-esque eye upon the Emperor until he shrivelled up in shame. No, not really... I half-thought she was going to drink the blood/poison cocktail as a symbol of her willingness to die with her son. Oh well...
I don't think it'll happen this time round. Better not to get my hopes up I guess...
I gotta go. I'm going to get ink to print my CV. Yay!
I need a pair of Dior Homme 19cm Japanese raw black denim. Pronto!
OMT, this is like cuteness overload. I want one as a pet! Gosh, I have to go to Perth now!
Travelling to Oklahoma City and then Tokyo has revived my wanderlust that withered after the years my family stopped taking family vacations together. I'm positively dying to go to Perth again, the first and only place in Australia I've ever been in and absolutely loved. I want to go to Monkey Mia and see the dolphins but it doesn't really seem possible given the 3.5 hour drive it takes to get there from where Ching Ming stays, unless I get my driver's licence before I go which isn't very likely given my financial situation. Le sigh... Anyway it would awesome just to go. I've loved Perth and maintained that it's my favourite place I've ever been to, though this might all change when I go back to Tokyo this autumn. Ha... I can't wait to go and inhale all the sushi and whatever and shop til I literally drop from the weight of the credit card bills.
Tokyo was fun the first time I went with Jansen after our course in Oklahoma. If only it didn't rain like monkeys on the only full day we had. Le sigh... Still we managed to see quite a bit of Tokyo in the 48 hours we were there. Only thing I really regret not going was the onsen. And taking pictures with the local girls. Kawaii~ne! Shopping was pretty decent considering the lack of luggage space available and now we know where to score the good digs.
We're finally going to the fishspa on Wednesday. Should be pretty fun. My feet are gonna thank me.
That's all for now I guess... Have to hunker down and continue to do some work. How else am I gonna pay for my plane tickets? Le sigh...
